Gold Conversion
Gold prices start from the 24K tola rate stored for Karachi. 22K is 22/24 of that rate, 21K is 21/24, and 18K is 18/24. A change of purity in this converter is an equivalent market value. It is not a claim that jewellery can be remade into another karat without alloy.
Silver Conversion
The stored silver rate is 999. 925 and 900 are calculated from that rate in the same way the silver page does. Weight changes between tola, gram and ounce use fixed gram constants and do not use the market price when the purity stays the same.
Currency Conversion
Currency rates are the PKR value of one unit, the same reference rates used on the currency pages. USD to EUR is the USD PKR rate divided into the EUR PKR rate. PKR itself is one rupee.

One tola equals 11.6638 grams. One troy ounce equals 31.1034768 grams. A gold or silver conversion that only changes the weight unit uses these constants and does not use the market price.
Can I convert 22K gold to PKR? ▾
Yes. Select 22K. The price is the 24K tola rate multiplied by 22/24, then applied to the weight you entered.
Can I convert PKR to gold? ▾

How does gold to silver conversion work? ▾
Gold is priced in PKR, then that PKR amount is turned into silver using the latest available silver rate. There is no separate gold-to-silver formula.

It uses the latest gold rate already stored for this website, the same 24K Karachi tola rate shown on the gold page. 22K, 21K and 18K are calculated from that rate. The result shows when the rate was updated.
Does the converter use current currency rates? ▾
It uses the reference PKR rate already stored for each currency on this website. It does not request a new exchange rate on every keystroke.
Why can conversion rates change? ▾
Gold, silver and currency rates move through the day. When this website stores a newer rate, the converter uses that rate. A bank, dealer or exchange company may also quote a different buying or selling price.
