About Surah At-Tur
Surah At-Tur (الطور) is the fifty-second chapter of the Holy Quran. Its name means “The Mount.” It is a Makki Surah consisting of 49 ayahs and is contained in the twenty-seventh Juz of the Quran.
Surah At-Tur focuses on the certainty of the Hereafter, the reward of the righteous, the truth of prophethood, and patience in the face of rejection.
The Surah opens with a series of solemn oaths that emphasize the certainty of Allah's judgment.
It describes the punishment of those who denied the truth and contrasts it with the comfort, companionship, and blessings prepared for the people of Paradise.
The Surah responds to several accusations made against Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and shows the weakness of claims that the Quran was invented or that the Prophet was a poet or magician.
It asks a series of powerful questions about creation, challenging people to consider whether they created themselves or the heavens and the earth.
Surah At-Tur encourages the Prophet ﷺ and believers to remain patient, continue remembering Allah, and trust that false claims cannot overturn the truth.
