About Surah Al-Mursalat
Surah Al-Mursalat (المرسلات) is the seventy-seventh chapter of the Holy Quran. Its name means “Those Sent Forth.” It is a Makki Surah consisting of 50 ayahs and is contained in the twenty-ninth Juz of the Quran.
Surah Al-Mursalat repeatedly warns those who deny the truth and emphasizes the certainty of the Day of Judgment.
The Surah opens with references to forces sent forth by Allah and moves quickly into scenes of cosmic change and final accountability.
A recurring warning is repeated throughout the Surah, creating a powerful rhythm that asks people to reconsider denial before it is too late.
It refers to earlier peoples who were destroyed and points to human creation, the earth, mountains, and water as signs of Allah's power.
The Surah contrasts the shade, springs, and fruits prepared for the righteous with the hardship faced by those who persist in rejection.
Surah Al-Mursalat encourages serious reflection on revelation and reminds readers that if they reject such clear guidance, there is no better message to follow.
