About Surah Al-Jinn
Surah Al-Jinn (الجن) is the seventy-second chapter of the Holy Quran. Its name means “The Jinn.” It is a Makki Surah consisting of 28 ayahs and is contained in the twenty-ninth Juz of the Quran.
Surah Al-Jinn describes a group of jinn who listened to the Quran, recognized its remarkable guidance, and believed in Allah.
Their response shows that the message of the Quran extends beyond human beings and that sincere listeners can recognize truth even when others reject it.
The Surah records their rejection of false beliefs about Allah and their acknowledgment that some jinn are righteous while others follow different paths.
It also explains that knowledge of the unseen belongs to Allah and is not freely available to created beings.
The Surah instructs Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to declare that he worships Allah alone and does not associate anyone with Him.
Surah Al-Jinn encourages Tawheed, humility, and a clear distinction between divine knowledge and claims made by created beings.
